Let It Snow, Let It Snow, Let It Snow!
Oh the weather outside is frightful…..NO EXCUSES! I know it’s a little chilly and snow is on the ground. I love to workout in the snow. There is something about coming indoors after you have been out in the winter wonderland. I feel so refreshed and so strong. Yes, I conquered it! There is nothing to fear. It really is the best time of year to focus on getting in shape. When it’s COLD out, you simply dress in light thin layers of wicking material, that you can put on and take off as your body heats up or cools down. When it’s HOT, you can only take so much off! There are so many little tricks to be shared. Your job is to show up so we can share. IT IS MIND OVER MATTER. Over the next 8 days I am going to share with you the 8 tips I have learned to help you make the most of this whole experience. I want you to walk away with an awesome sense of confidence and a feeling of peace. Walking or running on a dark, cold and snowy morning is a discipline that will give all of that and more.
1. TRUST IN YOURSELF You need to show up at every workout you do with the attitude that you can handle it. As you head out to put one foot in front of the other, repeat to yourself ten times the words, “I can do this, I”ll handle it.” It will help you relax and begin to feel a sense of peace. These are important words to have when when fear and doubt tries to enter the picture. And what does “I can do this, I’ll handle it” mean? It means, “I am learning, I am growing, I am winning!”
Tomorrow’s topic or tip…. DOING YOUR VERY BEST, until then, be well.
